She studies the thing everyone else describes.
Research, not opinion
Her model came out of original doctoral research, not a framework borrowed from someone else's book.
Coach and scholar
PCC-level coaching practice paired with academic rigor in leadership communication.
Works on the field, not the person
She changes the conditions leaders operate in, so behavior change actually holds.
She names what a room is doing while it is still doing it.
Janice works in the live relational field — the moment where resistance shows up, ownership is offered or withheld, and momentum is either created or lost. That real-time read is what lets executives change an outcome inside the conversation rather than after it.

Janice Perkins, PhD, PCC, is an executive coach, leadership communication scholar, and organizational consultant specializing in the chemistry of leadership and human connection.
She earned her PhD in leadership communication, where her research established that chemistry between people is not luck or personality but an observable, influenceable capability — one leaders can build on purpose. That finding now sits at the center of every engagement she takes on.
She works with executives, leadership teams, and organizations through one-to-one coaching, group cohorts, workshops, consulting, retreats, and keynotes. Her clients come to her when strategy is sound, communication has been addressed, and something still isn’t clicking.
She holds Professional Certified Coach credentials from the International Coaching Federation, Master Level standing with the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches, and membership in Marshall Goldsmith’s 100 Coaches. She serves on boards and in organizations across Wichita and beyond, and brings that community work into how she thinks about leadership at scale.

What Leaders Say
“I walked away with a fresh perspective and what honestly felt like a much-needed therapy session.”
Olivia Hazelwood with SMPS
“Time spent with Janice is time you’ll never regret, because you leave feeling empowered and inspired, but most of all grounded.
Our session was about burnout and boundaries, which marketers and business developers, or who loves what they do, is less of an "if" and more of a "when." What made Janice's session different was how she approached it, but what I loved is that she didn’t just talk at us about her approach, she walked us through exercises that put it in practice and then sent us home with tools to help further. She didn't just tell us to set better boundaries and send us on our way. She talked about capacity as the amount of "me" I have to give, and that one stuck with me, in fact I immediately went home and wrote it on the mirror in my office.
She also gave us permission to be human. Boundaries are hard to draw and even harder to stick to, and Janice gave us tools to forgive ourselves when they slip, recognize how stress shows up for each of us in the moment, understand how it affects the people around us, and find our way back to a place of peace.
Our members are still talking about this session. If you're considering Janice for your team, organization, or event, I 1000% recommend her. She's warm, genuine, and brings a perspective that stays with you long after and you can put into practice immediately.”
